The Old Dairy is a warm, well decorated, and peaceful place to stay. Ros is a great host, there was milk and orange juice in the fridge and fresh bread for our arrival. The fire had logs and lighters ready and waiting, and the linens were clean and soft. A fully stocked kitchen and bathroom mean you won't want for anything. The space is cosy and perfect for a couple, or dog owners, who want a quiet stay in a beautiful part of the country. Endless forest walks and warm cosy evenings by the fire are waiting for you here. Highly recommend booking to stay with Ros, we had a delightful time!
We LOVED our stay here at the beautiful old Dairy! It was clean, cosy, in a wonderful location, and just about everything was thought of. We loved the little touches, like having candles to light, milk in the fridge and fresh bread waiting. Even thoughtful touches like a throw away razor and nail varnish remover in the bathroom, really shows the care taken over this place. Bed was comfy, fire was gorgeous and the place was very warm. Ros was a brilliant host - she sends excellent directions for you (although do save them before you go as signal isn't great when you're on the approach) and was welcoming and easily contactable. The surrounding Ashdown Forest was stunning and we enjoyed a lovely walk and a pub lunch after. Will definitely be returning!
Ros's communication was "spot on" from the start and although our arrival was much delayed due to traffic, we found a welcoming warm beautiful, unique place to stay. The best possible use of space and the most toasty accommodation for a frosty weekend! We'd love to visit again for a little longer next time.
The Old Cow Shed .... is in a great location if your looking for an escape from the fast paced life. It's so quiet and so dark, as it's away from ambient light, that on a clear night you can see so many stars. Being from the city this was a nice treat. It is a beautifully finished little place, that was clean and cosy with a very comfortable bed, this combined with the quiet offered a fantastic night's sleep. It's also 2 minutes from Ashdown Forest so if your a fan of walks in nature, this is a prime location. Ros is a fantastic host, can definitely recommend and I'll definitely be staying again.
